Webinar

Join MEA on 8 September for a webinar session hosted by Holly Ransom who will be asking Deakin's Chair in Epidemiology, Professor Catherine Bennett, questions about the COVID-19 Pandemic and it's impact on our industry.

Catherine’s Q&A session will help answer the questions that are front of mind about the COVID virus, the vaccines and their impact, and the vaccine rollout. This session aims to provide more certainty to help the sector back on its feet despite the cancellations, government restrictions and postponements of face-to-face events that have had such a heavy impact across the industry. Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance of this session toadmin@mea.org.au.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Catherine has become a trusted voice in the media, clearly presenting the facts around the daily case numbers and reducing anxiety and uncertainty by stripping away the misinformation and speculation surrounding the virus and its impact on our lives. Her engaging commentary and expertise ranges from analysing and interpreting the numbers,to discussing the reasons why people can’t or won’t comply with restrictions, and the importance of facts over opinion.
