MEET OUR PANELLISTS
GIOVANNI CAMPOLO-ARCIDIACO - CHAIR OF SYDNEY GAY AND LESBIAN MARDI GRAS
Giovanni has been a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community since his first Mardi Gras in 1998. He is currently the Chair of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras (SGLMG) and is serving his third two-year term on the Board.
Giovanni was Co-Chair in 2018-19 when SGLMG won the rights to WorldPride. He was one of the six people who presented the winning Bid in Athens and is one of the SGLMG representatives on the Sydney WorldPride Board.
His passion for direct participation had him involved with several organisations and initiatives over the years, including two years as the Membership Director of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Business Association and four years as the President of Queer Screen (Mardi Gras Film Festival). In August 2023 he was bestowed with the prestigious ACON Community Hero Award for his contribution to the LGBTQIA+ community.
Giovanni’s role as a Senior Project Manager for the last decade involves managing sensitive projects that require, besides governance, a strong focus on risks and issues management. Previous careers in theatre, events and photography make him attuned with the creative process as well. These skills have proven very useful in his volunteering for the community.
CRAIG SHERIDAN - MANAGING DIRECTOR OF SHERIDAN CONSULTING GROUP P/L
A retired Commissioned Police Officer professional with 30 year’s experience with the NSW Police Force, Craig has consulted to major organisations in the areas of Risk and Crowd Management, Threat Management, Emergency Management and Counter-Terrorism Training for both the private sector and government organisations both nationally and internationally.
Craig has completed major Risk Assessments and Protective Security Strategies for New City Developments, Strategic Risk Reviews for Roads and Maritime Services NSW, Transport NSW, Health NSW, Legal Aid NSW, Arts NSW and Destination NSW including major events such as Vivid Sydney, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and Sydney New Years Eve.
Prior to Craig establishing Sheridan Consulting Group Pty Ltd he held a senior management role as Commander of the State Planning Unit, Major Events and Incidents Group, NSW Police Force, focused on strategic leadership, public order management, emergency management, strategic planning, continuous improvement, risk management and business/ operations planning. Craig was responsible for the development, maintenance and lecturing of the Incident Commanders Course at the NSW Police Force Leadership College.
AMY BUTTERY - SENIOR EVENT OPERATIONS MANAGER AT THE ARINEX GROUP
Within her current role at Arinex, Amy oversees the delivery of all logistical aspects of Arinex's events and project team management for her key accounts. This includes strategic planning, financial control of budgets, contract negotiations, client relationship management, venue sourcing, supplier management and partnership and exhibition sales and delivery. Her speciality and passion is strongly focused on client relationships and exceeding expectations at every event and she is fortunate to work with a wide range of clients in various sectors, all across Australia and internationally.

Luke is renowned for his meticulous preparation, in-depth research and bespoke introductions. Luke has an MBA from the University of Technology Sydney plus held Senior Project and Risk Positions in a Banking & Finance Career spanning more than 20 years. He travels from Sydney where he lives with his Wife and 3 Children and loves Trail Running, Playing the Piano, and Motorsport.
