NT PD: The Back of the Napkin
Northern Territory Professional Development Session
WHAT IS VISUAL THINKING?
Visual Thinking means taking advantage of our innate ability to see – both with our eyes and with our mind – in order to discover ideas that are otherwise invisible, develop those ideas quickly and intuitively, and then share those ideas with other people in a way that they simply “get”.
Visual Thinking is a neurobiologically-based approach that combines our highly-developed verbal mind with our neglected, but incredibly powerful, visual mind.
Visual Thinking gives us a better way to look at strategic problems, discover hidden ideas, and share those ideas with other people.
Virtual facilitators Ai Yat Goh and Christopher Dawson will lead the discussion around visual thinking on 30 September in Darwin and Alice Springs. This creative and interactive workshop will give NT event professionals the opportunity to learn how to use simple pictures to communicate powerfully and gain confidence to facilitate authentic conversations whilst hearing from the Principal Course Leaders for Asia-Pacific for “The Back of the Napkin™ - Solving Problems and Selling Ideas with Pictures”.
Workshop Takeaways:
- Introduction to Visual Thinking
- Business Icons
- The Visual Thinking Toolkit
- How to solve problems that overwhelm us – The 6x6 Rule
