How do I become a member?

What are the benefits of becoming a member?
MEA Corporate Membership provides opportunities to recognise your business, ensure ongoing learning opportunities for your team, grow professional networks and join the community of event professionals for knowledge and ideas exchange. Is membership open to everyone, or are there specific criteria?
Anyone within the events industry inside and outside of Australia is eligible to become a member of MEA. To find out more about the different membership types, head to our membership page.
How much does membership cost, and what are the membership options available?
MEA has a range of membership options available. From corporate memberships spanning small, medium and large organisations, to individual or regional-based members - head to the membership page for further information. Pricing is also outlined on the membership page, starting from as low as $50.
How can I renew my membership?
Membership renewals are automatic, and the key business admin for your membership will be notified ahead of time that your renewal is coming up. An invoice will be sent 12 months from the date you joined as a MEA member, unless the MEA membership team is advised otherwise. You can find your renewal date under 'My Portal'.
Can I update my membership information, such as contact details & preferences?
Yes, you can update your membership details at any time through 'My Portal'. Visit the Member Hub for further assistance.
How do I stay up to date on industry news and association announcements?
MEA has a weekly newsletter that is sent out to members and subscribers every Wednesday, covering industry intel, relevant member news, job opportunities, and upcoming events being organised by MEA. To subscribe, either update your preferences or sign up to receive it here.
