#HumansofMEA - Saori Kino, PARKROYAL Darling Harbour Sydney

#HumansofMEA asked Saori Kino, Senior Meeting and Events Coordinator at PARKROYAL Darling Harbour Sydney what is the one thing that makes a great meeting stand out, the strengths they bring to our industry, and where we'd most likely find them on the weekend.

1. What strengths do you bring to the events industry?

“I have back ground in operations side of events. I worked in varies roles in food and beverage for about 4 years. Being able to relate to catering side has been a plus in organizing events."

2. It is 5 pm on a Friday Saori – what is in your glass?

“A fresh mocktail… or apple juice… I have been off drinking for about 5 years now. Will have a drink maybe 3 times a year."

3. If Saori had a super power what would it be?

“Definitely teleportation. I’d be traveling the world!”

4. If you could work anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

“Anywhere close to the beach with my fiancé and our puppy.”

5. How do you like your eggs Saori?

“Poached or boiled on top of fresh sourdough toast with avocado. Delicious!”

6. What is a skill no one would know you had?

“Can whip up a cocktail or two – I’ve worked as a bartender back in the day.”

7. Saori, what do you like the most about working in the events industry?

“The variety – No two days are the same, client requirements are different, you can have corporate event and then social event, even on a admin day we are most likely taking on different roles. I love the fast-paced environment!”

8. Where is your favourite holiday destination and what activity did you spend most of the time doing?

“This one is hard, but I think I have to say between Italy and Spain. The food, the people and the city is so beautiful.”

9. What current TV series are you watching?

“I am that strange person who doesn’t watch TV! But if I was to watch a series I would watch anything cooking related or crime!”

10. Where would we find Saori on the weekend?

“Definitely by the beach! Love an early morning watching the sunrise followed by breakfast and swim. You’ll see me with my best friend (English Staffy)."

Thank you Saori for talking with #HumansofMEA.
