Exciting News: MEA's 2025 Conference Destination Announced!

We are delighted to announce that the 2025 MEA Conference will be hosted in none other than Sydney, marking a significant milestone as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. As the birthplace of MEA, Sydney holds a special place in our history, and it feels only fitting to return home for this momentous occasion. This event will not only commemorate the past five decades of excellence in Australia’s events industry but also look forward to what lies ahead in this dynamic and ever-evolving field.

The 2025 conference promises to be a standout event, with celebrations reflecting both our heritage and our future aspirations. We are eager to bring together leaders, innovators, and professionals from across the events spectrum to engage in meaningful conversations, share insights, and, most importantly, celebrate the incredible progress the industry has made since MEA was founded in 1975. This is a special opportunity for all of us to reconnect, reflect, and reignite our passion for the events industry.

In preparation for this landmark event, we have officially launched the tender process for both the conference venue and a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) for the next two years. Our goal is to ensure the 2025 conference is not only a celebration of the past but also a showcase of cutting-edge trends and innovations that will shape the future of our profession. While Sydney will be our home for this anniversary, we also remain committed to representing Australia’s diverse regions and are planning to return to a regional location in 2026. This shift will allow us to continue supporting and spotlighting the incredible venues and talent that exist beyond the major cities.

Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing more details about what you can expect from this golden anniversary conference, including exciting speakers, hands-on workshops, and a few surprises that will truly make this a conference to remember. We can’t wait to reveal all the elements that will make 2025 a year of celebration, connection, and learning for everyone involved.
