#HumansofMEA - Tina-Sharee Jones

This week, #HumansofMEA are profiling Tina-Sharee Jones, Conference and Events Sales Manager at the Calile Hotel. The team asked her what she likes most about the events industry.

1. Tina-Sharee we all want to know what strengths do you bring to the events industry?

I bring my passion, organisation and experience in sales, event planning and banquets.”

2. It is 5 pm on a Friday Tina-Sharee – what is in your glass?

“Rose.”

3. If you had a superpower what would it be?

“Teleportation.”

4. If you could work anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

“This is a hard one. I think the Greek Islands. It just looks so beautiful and of course by the water. I would love to go there one day.”

5. How do you like your eggs Tina-Sharee?

“Poached, firm white, runny (not too runny) yolk- Not fussy at all haha!”

6. Name one thing that makes a great meeting stand out and why?

Creativity, and thinking outside of the box as often delegates are in the same event space for multiple days. Mixing up the agenda, set-ups and formats as well as exploring different ways to present content keeps the delegates fresh and engaged.”

7. Tina-Sharee what is a skill no one would know you had?

I like to think I am a decent dancer. I did Hip hop for 6 years whilst living on the gold coast, even dabbling in some Salsa too.”

8. Tina-Sharee where is your favourite holiday destination and what activity did you spend most of the time doing?

Anywhere by the beach! Most recently I spent a few weeks in Bali, where I stayed in Uluwatu at a hidden resort, perched right next to the ocean. A stones through away from the water, I just loved sitting on the balcony at sunset with a glass of rose and a cheese platter watching the waves roll in.”

9. What is the current TV series you are watching?

Naked and Afraid. Yes, I know. Strange. No, I just love seeing people use their skills and go through some seriously tough situations where often what they thought they knew, is essentially “thrown out the window”

10. Where would we find you on the weekend Tina-Sharee?

A body attack gym class to start the day. Then maybe a trip to Caloundra Beach. In the afternoon, I love to chill out and watch the NRL with my partner.”

Thank you Tina-Sharee for talking with Humans of MEA – we look forward to seeing you at the next MEA event for a Rosé or two.
