#HumansofMEA - Keith Harwood, Inspire Speakers

#HumansofMEA caught up with Keith Hardwood from Inspire Speakers to get his view on the events industry and ask him a few questions...

1. Keith, what strengths do you bring to the events industry?

“Simply, I really really enjoy what I do every day. The challenge of finding that perfect speaker for a client brief. They’ve a tough job, I love making it easier for them.”

2. Keith, for those who do not know you - It is 5 pm on a Friday – what is in your glass?

“A bottle of Heineken or Peroni.”

3. If you had a super power Keith what would it be?

“Reverse climate change.”

4. If you could work anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

“Sydney is pretty awesome – world class city and events. If I could work remotely for a while then it would be Dingle, Ireland. The countryside is just so beautiful and the people are great. And my family is from Ireland so they could pop down and visit on the weekend.”

5. Keith, everyone is asking - how do you like your eggs?

“Love eggs. Scrambled and thick.”

6. Name one thing Keith that makes a great meeting stand out and why?

“A speaker that makes the room laugh. People will always remember how you make them feel.”

7. What is a skill no one would know you had?

“Juggling a soccer ball with my feet. I’ve been doing it since I was 5.”

8. Keith can we ask what do you like the most about working in the events industry?

“Helping make the job of Event Planners / Conference Producers a little less stressful. We’re all in the game of bringing people together which is such a privilege.”

9. Where is your favourite holiday destination and what activity did you spend most of the time doing?

“A little town called Supertar in Croatia. A hidden gem. Mostly reading, eating good food and recovering from the odd hangover.”

10. What is the current TV series you are watching?

“The Crown. It’s ok, doesn’t come close to Money Heist!”

11. Where would we find you on the weekend?

“Between March and September, every Sunday you’ll find me playing or watching our club playing soccer on a pitch in the Eastern Suburbs. If I’m not there, likely at home on our balcony enjoying the scenery and a beer.”

Thank for you talking to #HumansofMEA Keith – we look forward to seeing you at the next MEA event for a Heineken or two!
