Event Essentials
Learn the essentials through MEA’s Event Essentials Short Course, which provides a strong foundation of skills and knowledge required to work in the events sector through two nationally recognised units of competency – SITEEVT020 Source and Use Information in the Events Industry & SITEEVT023 Plan In-House Events.
Leading Teams
This course is an excellent starting point for those who will be leading teams or supervising others to create events. It provides foundational knowledge for anyone seeking to enhance their understanding of team dynamics, performance management and effective leadership, as well as a practical demonstration of skills needed to manage day-to-day work conflict between colleagues and customers through two nationally recognised units of competency – SITXHRM009 Lead and Manage People and SITXCOM010 Manage Conflict.
Conference Programming
This course introduces participants to the demands of creating a successful conference program, including the skills and knowledge to analyse financial information for the management of a project budget. This course includes two nationally recognised units of competency – SITEEVT024 Develop Conference and Event Programs and SITXFIN009 Manage Finances within a Budget.
Managing Event Production Needs
Ideal for those interested in what staging elements are required for events, this course provides a broad understanding of those elements, the negotiation skills required to work with suppliers and clients, and insight to source and evaluate appropriate venues based on an event plan. The course includes two nationally recognised units of competency – SITEEVT0026 Manage Event Production Components and SITEEVT025 Select Event Venues and Sites.
